Choosing well on the Kakobuy Spreadsheet: agent, site, seller, item

Why Kakobuy, why this spreadsheet, and how to judge the three things popularity is supposed to stand in for: the seller, the listing and the agent itself. With the cases where another agent fits better.

What is Kakobuy, and why choose it

Kakobuy is a shopping agent: it buys from Chinese marketplaces on your behalf, receives the goods at its warehouse in Xiamen, inspects and stores them, and ships them abroad. The About and Contact pages name EVERYDAY GO INC with a Denver address, and a UK company, ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD, company number 16947583.

The case for it on popular listings: no agent service fee, free inspection and consolidation, 100 days of free storage, a public shipping estimator, and a help centre detailed enough to answer most questions in this guide. The case against: the free check is visual, live chat runs 9am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday UK time, and the help centre contradicts itself in places, such as the three PayPal fee figures.

When to use a different agent: if you need function testing of electronics before shipping, or a support line outside UK office hours, look for an agent that offers those in writing.

Why this spreadsheet

What we do differently is narrow on purpose. We do not rank listings, star them or call anything a best seller. Popularity is the one thing every catalogue already shows; what readers lack is a way to read it. So every category note, signal page and tool here answers the same question: what does this signal leave for me to check, and which Kakobuy step checks it?

How the site is maintained: policy references and screenshots carry their source dates. This local editorial review was completed on 15 October 2026. It does not imply continuous monitoring or verification of every current seller listing.

How to choose a spreadsheet site you can check

Judge a spreadsheet site, this one included, on things you can check in five minutes:

  • Dates. Does it say when facts and links were last checked?
  • Dead links. Open five cards. If two lead nowhere, the list is not maintained.
  • Claims about quality. A site that calls listings flawless or perfect is selling, not checking. Nobody has inspected those items.
  • Who runs it. A name and an email you can write to.
  • Disclosure. Referral links are normal; hiding them is not.

A big count of listings is not on the list. Size is easy to inflate and says nothing about whether anyone looked at them.

How to choose a seller behind a hot listing

Kakobuy's disclaimer gives a concrete starting point: choose a well-reputed store with more than three hearts that has paid into the Taobao guarantee. Low-credit sellers without it can mean false delivery, no delivery, no after-sales and no rights protection, and that loss is yours (help article 48). For 1688, the purchasing rules add: check the minimum quantity, choose sellers with good credit, compare before buying, and agree return terms in advance (help article 90).

On top of the platform signals, three seller checks matter for popular items: whether the shop's own detail photos match its hero shot, whether buyer photos show the colour you want, and whether low ratings mention the same problem repeatedly.

How to choose an agent whose rules you can read

A trustworthy agent publishes its rules and keeps to them. Read the parts that cost you money when they go wrong: inspection scope, return window, storage terms, compensation for loss, and what it refuses to buy. Kakobuy publishes all of these.

Its anti-counterfeiting policy is one of them. Products bought through kakobuy.com must be authentic; non-authentic products are prohibited; buyers are responsible for buying only authentic goods; and inauthentic orders can be declined, with accounts suspended, inventory disposed of and payments withheld. An agent that states this plainly and a catalogue that respects it belong together. Report suspected counterfeits to [email protected].

How to choose an item from a popular listing

Popularity can shortlist items; four questions choose between them. Can you state the measurement that decides fit? Is the colour you want the one in the buyer photos? Will the free check cover the part that matters, or is it sealed, powered or a fine detail? And can you afford to be wrong, given the 120-hour return window and its exclusions?

If the answer to the third question is no, deciding what to order becomes a question of trust in the shop, and a smaller first order is the honest way to test it.

Before you buy: things to watch

A short list of mistakes we see around hot-selling listings:

  • Ordering the trending variant without a fallback, then waiting weeks for an out-of-stock reply.
  • Testing a sealed fragrance at the warehouse stage. Breaking the seal ends the return option.
  • Treating free shipping as free delivery abroad.
  • Paying through Fill & Buy for a link seen in a group, where there is no after-sales and no cancellation after payment.
  • Forgetting restricted goods. China's export and import lists, and each line's own bans on batteries, liquids and powders, apply whatever the sales count (help article 23).

Other agents you will see named

Spreadsheet sites and forums name other agents too, such as Superbuy, Sugargoo and CSSBuy. They work on the same model described in help article 47: buy in China, receive and inspect, store, consolidate, ship. Where they differ is in fees, exchange-rate markup, inspection scope, storage length and support hours.

We do not compare them here and we do not rank them. If you weigh another agent against Kakobuy, compare the written rules side by side, on the same item and the same date, and treat any popularity figure an agent quotes about itself the way this site treats a sales count.

Use a decision you can explain

Choose an item because its specification, expected cost and service limits fit your needs. If the decision depends on an unverified claim, identify which evidence would change your mind before paying.
